We are growing again! Multiple New Facilities Announced

May 19th, 2023 News

Plaistow NH: We are proud to announce the addition of three new Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network facilities! Accel Physical Therapy of Topsham , located in beautiful Topsham Maine will be lead by Ethan Burke DPT, and Scott Hannigan DPT. Breakthrough Physical Therapy located in Saco Maine will be lead by Bryan Cloutier DPT. Rye Physical Therapy is lead by Shane Johnston DPT, and Kate Serodio DPT!

Pinnacle Co-President Dan Fleury says “We continue to grow to meet the growing demand of high quality, lower cost physical therapy services. We are one of the last truly independent physical groups. Being independent allows us to focus on patient experience and outcome without the bureaucracy and expense of large hospital, corporate, or private equity boards! Healthcare consumers are increasingly more responsible for their healthcare spending. Increasing physical therapy deductibles and copays has lead to savvy consumer shopping. Patients are realizing that fully independent practices are shockingly less expensive and more accessible than  hospitals and large corporately backed practices. We are happy that consumers are better educated as this the catalyst to our growth. We are successfully responding to market demand”.

Introducing TheraOffice Patient Portal!

January 21st, 2021 News

We have upgraded our intake process!

We are excited to announce that we are using a new patient portal! In our efforts to keep you and your health information safe, we have gone paperless. Our new patient portal system allows you to fill out your health information remotely. The portal is not only mobile friendly, but once you are a registered patient with us; our system will securely store your information should you return. This process saves you valuable time and decreases redundant requests for information every time you return to our practice. Stay tuned for more enhancements including mobile check in and mobile co-pay coming early in 2021!

Patients will receive information on the patient portal directly to their  email when scheduling an evaluation. This email will be sent from the Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network and our EMR vendor, [email protected] . The subject is Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network Patient Portal Invitation.

Because we value your feedback, we have also implemented a new way of determining your overall satisfaction. The NPS (Net Promoter Score) is a nationally recognized and widely used method of measuring patient satisfaction. After your initial visit and at some points throughout your care you will receive a short satisfaction survey from us. We strive for 10/10 every time with every patient and use the information gathered from these surveys to improve care and to recognize staff.

Pinnacle Facilities are Recruiting and Hiring!

June 23rd, 2020 News

Like almost every other business on earth, Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network is learning to thrive in the wake of the COVID-19 Crisis of 2020. To keep our employees and patients safe during the delivery of care, we had to quickly adapt to a new way of functioning. We have implemented all the necessary safety precautions and screening procedures. We have modified offices to minimize patient interaction and contact. We have removed or moved the front desk interaction by automating many of our intake procedures. Although these measures fundamentally change the patient experience at our facilities we hope the change is temporary. These changes are necessary to protect everyone! While we will miss the benefit of  patient to patient interactions during various stages of recovery and the clinical banter that makes our environment such a fun place to be, its a small price to pay for safety!

As routine healthcare resumes we anticipate a steady incline in the need for outpatient, non-hospital based physical therapy. Patients are not wanting the additional risk of entering hospital campuses where the risk of exposure to an infected person is potentially greater than that of an outpatient environment. Patients are seeking safer and more accessible outpatient care. Responsible medical providers are also recognizing this and referring more off campus for therapy needs. The increased demand has led to a need to recruit and hire more physical therapists. We have several facilities looking to add top level talent to their teams.  Connect with us if you are interested! Stay Healthy and Safe.

PRN Therapists Earn Blood Flow Restriction Training Certifications

January 2nd, 2019 News

Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network is proud to announce that 25 of their partners and therapists have received certifications in Blood Flow Restriction Training “BFR”.  The certification is referred to as Cert. MST. Blood flow restriction training is a method of strength training that involves restricting the blood flow out of working muscles to trick the body  into getting stronger by creating a metabolic stress response. Muscle hypertrophy, or muscle growth, requires either mechanical stress ( lifting heavy loads) or metabolic stress ( hormones and metabolites). In the rehabilitation setting achieving muscle loading at a threshold high enough to induce muscle hypertrophy is very difficult. BFR allows us to safely train muscles at very load loads, limit muscle and joint strain, while achieving the same results as heavy loading! We can now maximize strength gains faster and safer without the side effects of traditional load based training like delayed onset muscle soreness, joint stress, and micro-tearing! We are excited to offer this service at Advanced PT, Alliance PT, Amherst PT, Atlantic PT, Portsmouth PT, Hampton PT, Somersworth PT

Blood flow restriction training is surprisingly comfortable. The pressure cuff induces muscle fatigue relatively quickly and with very little strain. A trained physical therapist, with the aid of a Doppler ultrasound, will determine individual blood pressure values and customize a protocol. The use of a Doppler and individualization of restriction pressure is vital to the safety and effectiveness of this technique. After the appropriate pressure is validated a special restriction cuff is placed on 1-4 limbs during the duration of a prescribed exercise program. The exercise program can be aerobic, restive or a combination of the two. The exciting thing about BRF training is that the effect is systemic. Using this method has total body benefit due to its action on hormones and growth factors that act on multiple systems.

“We are very excited to be on the forefront of the latest rehabilitation and performance methods. As research uncovers safer, faster, and more effective techniques we strive to be the first to offer these to our patients and clients. Additionally, we take great pride in the fact that our therapists are some of the best educated in the field. We strongly encourage our therapist to be over educated!” says Pinnacle Rehabilitation Network Vice President  Dan Fleury.
